A beautiful day in autumn

Biscuit cake with vanilla cream and cherries... On a quiet October day, I waded through freezing water to place this treat on a tiny island in Stora Envätterns Nature Reserve. It was a bigger challenge than I originally thought, and yet the cake wanted to caress the smooth dark surface of the stone and be embraced by the mist that lay soft and cooling over the lake. The stillness that nature laid upon us was capturing and magical, and getting my inner images in place was a blessing to my soul.
